Liverpool are reportedly still interested in signing Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri, despite not making an official bid for the Switzerland international.

Liverpool have reportedly not ruled out an approach for Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

Soon after the end of the season, Liverpool were linked with the Switzerland international, who will leave the bet365 Stadium due to the club's relegation from the Premier League.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp is still interested in the 26-year-old but the Merseyside giants are yet to make an official bid for the attacker.

Shaqiri has openly stated that he wishes to remain in England's top flight, and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is allegedly prepared to take the player to Old Trafford.

During the most recent campaign, Shaqiri contributed eight goals and seven assists from 36 league appearances for the Potters.
