Manchester United have reportedly turned focus to RB Leipzig's Ibrahima Konate in their search for a new centre-back.
The Red Devils are rumoured to be ready to spend big on a new defender to partner Harry Maguire for the 2021-22 campaign.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Raphael Varane and Dayot Upamecano have regularly been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but The Independent claims that United are now looking closely at Konate.
With Upamecano set to join Bayern Munich, the report indicates that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side may now move for his Leipzig teammate Konate in a big-money swoop.
However, Chelsea and Liverpool have also supposedly showed an interest in the 21-year-old, who has spent four seasons in Leipzig's first team.
Konate, yet to be capped by France at senior level, has made 12 appearances for the Bundesliga side in all competitions this term.
