Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will reportedly push hard to bring RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano to the club during this summer's transfer window.
A €42m (£37.3m) release clause in Upamecano's contract can be activated at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, and a number of clubs are said to be interested in signing him.
Bayern Munich are widely thought to be the favourites for the France international, while Manchester United and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in recent months.
However, Chelsea have been mentioned as possible suitors on a number of occasions in recent weeks, and according to Kicker, new Blues boss Tuchel is determined to bring the centre-back to Stamford Bridge.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be admirers of Upamecano, although the two Spanish clubs are struggling financially due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The defender could be in action for France at this summer's European Championships.
