Manchester United are reportedly looking to extend the contracts of defender Luke Shaw and midfielder Fred.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has admitted that the first-team squad at Old Trafford requires a significant overhaul during the summer, a situation arguably helped by a number of players being out of contract.
However, according to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, United have no plans to part company with either Shaw or Fred, the latter having enjoyed one of his best seasons in a United shirt.
While the 29-year-old has taken time to impress in the Premier League, the Brazilian has contributed four goals and four assists from 24 appearances this campaign.
Shaw has had a more inconsistent season, which has not been helped by injury, but the England international has still made 20 outings in the top flight.
The report claims that club officials want to extend each player's contract until 2025, representing a two-year extension for the pair.
