Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane reportedly has a pre-agreement with Manchester United to join the English giants on a five-year contract.
The Red Devils have allegedly identified Varane as their leading centre-back target this summer, and the club are said to be in negotiations with Real Madrid over a transfer fee.
According to ABC Deportes, the France international has reached a pre-agreement to join the 20-time English champions on a five-year deal worth £10.3m per year.
The report claims that Man United have offered £38.6m for the World Cup winner, but Los Blancos are looking for a fee of £47.2m plus add-ons for a player who will be out of contract at the Bernabeu next June.
Varane, who represented his country at Euro 2020, is said to be keen to seek pastures new during this summer's transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will face competition for the defender, though, with both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also said to be keen to sign him in the current market.
