Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly both interested in signing James Rodriguez from Real Madrid this summer.
James has spent the past two years on loan at Bayern Munich, but the German giants are understood to have decided against making the move permanent at the end of the season.
As things stand the Colombia international is due to return to the Bernabeu this summer, but Zinedine Zidane reportedly does not view him as part of his plans going forward.
Bayern do have first refusal on James until June 15, but Marca reports that both Manchester United and Chelsea are plotting summer moves for the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner.
The 27-year-old could be available for a cut-price fee of £36m, although Chelsea will only be able to move for him if their transfer ban is lifted.
James has made just 20 Bundesliga appearances this season, and he has only completed the full 90 minutes in three of those.
