Manchester United will reportedly have to make an offer of at least €50m (£43m) to stand a chance of signing Atalanta BC centre-back Giorgio Scalvini.
The 19-year-old has been a first-team player for his Italian side in each of the last three seasons, representing the club on 64 occasions, scoring four times and providing two assists in the process.
Scalvini has netted once in nine outings for Atalanta this term, while he is already a six-time Italy international, debuting for the national side in June 2022.
Man United are said to be interested in the teenager, but according to Tuttomercato, he will not be allowed to leave Atalanta for anything under €50m (£43m).
The youngster, who has made 57 appearances in Italy's top flight, has another four years left to run on his contract, placing his side in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations.

Man United are currently well-stocked in the middle of their defence, with Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans all options.
There is currently uncertainty surrounding the futures of Maguire and Lindelof, though, while Evans only has a deal at Old Trafford until the end of the campaign.
Martinez is also out of action for at least the next two months due to a foot injury, and Varane continues to suffer with various muscular issues.
As a result, the Red Devils are believed to be planning to move for a young centre-back next year, with Benfica's Antonio Silva also thought to be a target.

Silva is also 19, while he has made 52 appearances for his Portuguese club, breaking into the first team during the 2022-23 campaign.
The youngster has a contract with Benfica until June 2027, and a number of other major European teams are believed to be showing an interest in his services.
Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag has a decision to make in the middle of his defence for Saturday's clash with Brentford, as Lindelof's underwhelming form has led to claims that Maguire or Evans could be introduced alongside Varane in the middle.
Luke Shaw also impressed when used as a centre-back last season, but the England international has been out of action since August due to a muscular problem.
