Manchester United are reportedly not actively pursuing Aston Villa's Jack Grealish as they would rather bring a new defensive midfielder to the club during this summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with the Villa captain over the last few months.
Grealish has been in impressive form for Dean Smith's side this season, contributing nine goals and eight assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.
However, according to The Athletic, United 'are not in for Grealish' and are instead focusing on signing 'a holding midfielder' ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side acquired the services of Bruno Fernandes during the January transfer window but there remains uncertainty surrounding the future of Paul Pogba.
Grealish has also been linked with a switch to Everton, although the Toffees do not allegedly view the Englishman as a priority target.
