Real Madrid hope to agree pre-contracts with Manchester United's Paul Pogba and Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe in January, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly hopeful of agreeing pre-contracts with both Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe in January.

Pogba's future remains the subject of much speculation, with the France international seemingly preparing to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer next summer.

Mbappe's own deal with PSG is also due to expire next June, and the World Cup winner is believed to have his heart set on a switch to the Bernabeu, having missed out on a move in the last transfer window.

Los Blancos, as it stands, would be able to approach both Pogba and Mbappe in January, and according to Cuatro, Carlo Ancelotti's side hope to agree deals with the duo at the start of 2022.

The report claims that Real Madrid are hopeful Pogba's proposed arrival would convince Mbappe to make the move to the Spanish capital despite interest from elsewhere.

Barcelona have also been linked with the Man United midfielder, but the Catalan giants will allegedly not be able to afford to sign him next year due to their ongoing financial problems.
