Report: Arsenal make £15.6m bid for Ilkay Gundogan

Arsenal make a bid for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly made a transfer bid for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

The 24-year-old is said to be stalling on a contract extension at the Signal Iduna Park, with his current deal due to expire next summer.

Gundogan has also been linked with Arsenal's Premier League rivals Manchester United, but it appears that the Gunners want to beat them to his signature.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was thought to have contacted Dortmund recently to secure a deal for the Germany international.

Those initial talks have now been followed up with a bid of £15.6m, according to The Independent.

The report adds that the two clubs will meet in the coming days to discuss it further.
