The Manchester United defender arrived in Russia to continue talks with the team earlier this weekend, having played just 28 times in two seasons at Old Trafford.
Solovyov told Russian website Live Sport: "I saw him yesterday. Buttner will play for Dynamo. Contract period, three years."
Buttner joined United from Vitesse Arnhem in 2012.
