Manchester United manager David Moyes has reportedly made Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke a top transfer target.
Moyes made a personal check on Benteke during Belgium's 2-0 win over Scotland in World Cup qualifying last Friday and is believed to be a long-term admirer of the Villa forward.
The 22-year-old signed a new contract with Villa during the summer, just weeks after initially handing in a transfer request amid reports of interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
United are ready to test Villa's resolve with a future bid to add height, power and variety in the final third, according to The Mirror.
Benteke has made an impressive start to his second season in the Premier League, scoring three times in as many games for Villa.
