Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that he would like to strengthen his squad before the end of the transfer window, but only with the "right player".
Van Gaal has already made significant additions during the summer, but after watching his team draw 0-0 with Newcastle United on Saturday, the former Bayern Munich chief admits that he is still looking for potential signings.
The Dutchman is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I would, of course, like to make the squad stronger but not for any price and only for the right player but I'm happy with the players who have come here.
"All the players we have brought have made a contribution in our selection. The Manchester United fans should have hope because the selection is more balanced than last year and in spite of the result the performance was good and that is more important than anything to do with buying or selling.
"There are a few days left to go in the window and you never know."
Memphis Depay, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin and Sergio Romero have all been signed by Van Gaal since the end of the last campaign.
