Andre-Pierre Gignac to miss Marseille double-header

Andre-Pierre Gignac will miss the next two Marseille matches with a toe injury.

Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has revealed that he will miss the club's next two matches after sustaining a toe injury.

The French international picked up the problem after coming off the bench during Les Phoceens' 0-0 draw at Bastia on Saturday.

Gignac, who has scored three times in six Ligue 1 games this season, took to Twitter to announce that he will be out of action for over a week.

"Verdict: tendon problem in the big toe! 7-10 days! #disgusted," Gignac wrote on the social networking website.

Marseille host Saint-Etienne on Tuesday before travelling to Lorient on Saturday.
