New Zealand boss Neil Emblen insists that his side will be "ready" for Sunday's Group C clash with Egypt.

New Zealand boss Neil Emblen refused to criticise his side despite their 1-0 defeat to Belarus in Group C on Thursday.

The Kiwis need to secure three points against Egypt to give themselves a chance to progress, but Emblen feels that his side deserved something from Thursday's match.

"When you play well and your game plan goes well but you don't get the result that is sickening. We have to dust ourselves off and get ready for Egypt," he told reporters.

Queens Park Rangers defender Ryan Nelsen is expected to skipper his country on Sunday.
