Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Watford attacker Joao Pedro in this summer's transfer window, with the Magpies looking to bring in more talent for next season.
The Brazilian has been a regular fixture in the Hornets side this term, registering 10 goals and four assists in 32 Championship appearances, however with Chris Wilder's men currently 12th in the standings, it seems likely that Watford will be playing second-tier football again next year.
The 21-year-old joined the Hertfordshire outfit from Fluminense in late 2019 and has notched over 100 appearances for the club, helping Watford to automatic promotion to the Premier League during the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Football Insider, top-four chasers Newcastle have 'concrete' interest in the attacker and are preparing to make a move for Pedro in the summer.
The report claims that the Magpies had a £30m offer for the player rejected in last summer's transfer window but are still very keen on bringing the Brazilian to St James' Park ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Pedro signed a long-term deal with Watford in September, contracting him to the Vicarage Road club until June 2028 - although that has not deterred Eddie Howe's men from closely monitoring his situation in the Championship.
