Newcastle United 'plotting £1.5m Andreas Beck deal'

Andreas Beck emerges as a reported £1.5m target for Newcastle United and Napoli.

Newcastle United are reportedly lining up a move for Hoffenheim right-back Andreas Beck this summer.

The 28-year-old has featured regularly for Hoffenheim this season, making 26 appearances during the current campaign for the Bundesliga outfit.

However, the German international will be allowed to leave the club at the end of the season for around £1.5m, according to The Mirror.

Newcastle are thought to be keen on the former Stuttgart defender, but will face competition from Napoli for his signature.

Hoffenheim are currently seventh in the Bundesliga, one point away from a European qualification place.
