Mohammed Bin Hammam's fails to overturn the 90-day ban he was ordered to serve while his financial dealings are investigated.

Former FIFA presidential candidate Mohammed Bin Hammam has failed to overturn a 90-day ban while allegations of bribery are investigated.

The 63-year-old failed to convince the Court of Arbitration for Sport to overturn the suspension during an appeal and his financial deals will continue to be probed.

Hammam maintains that his suspension is politically motivated following his bid to challenge FIFA president Sepp Blatter for the top job in May last year.

The Qatari successfully appealed against a lifetime ban for bribery in July, but remains provisionally suspended while a fresh investigation into alleged financial mismanagement is conducted.

Reports suggest that Hammam was on the brink of retiring following the overturning of his life ban.
