Chris Hughton: 'Norwich City deserved Manchester City point'

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton insists that his side "thoroughly deserved" their 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Saturday.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has insisted that his side "thoroughly deserved" their 0-0 draw with Manchester City this afternoon.

The Canaries became the just fourth side - after Stoke City, Sunderland and Chelsea - to stop Manuel Pellegrini's men from scoring in the Premier League this season.

Hughton told BBC Sport: "It shows how important the result was when we are playing a team that can score goals as readily as they want, but it's also the manner in which we finished the game.

"We had two good positions very late in the game and they could have seen us win the game. We defended very well and over the 90 minutes I thought we thoroughly deserved the draw."

Norwich have now kept nine league clean sheets this season. Only West Ham United, Arsenal and Chelsea have kept more.
