Martin Olsson unsure of Norwich City future beyond end of season

Martin Olsson admits that he may leave Norwich City as a free agent next summer in the hope of landing a Premier League move.

Norwich City left-back Martin Olsson has confessed that he is in no rush to make a decision over his future and may leave the club next year on a free contract.

The Sweden international was linked with a move to numerous Premier League sides in the summer, only to remain at Carrow Road to help with the Canaries' attempts to make an instant return to the top flight.

Olsson, who has featured in every game since recovering from a hamstring injury picked up early in the season, is confident that he will still have admirers come next summer should he decide to depart East Anglia.

"During the summer, there was a club that was looking at me, but it did not happen," he told Swedish station Viasat Sport. "I'm now instead focusing on Norwich so we'll see what happens in January or in the summer.

"It may be that I go on a Bosman. We'll see if they want to give me a new contract, but I have to think of myself as well. There may be no new contract, I will surely have several other clubs as options too."

Olsson also featured in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers, whom he represented for six years before joining Norwich in 2013.
