Club Brugge caretaker boss Rudy Verkempinck has hinted that Steve McClaren is being considered for the head managerial role at the Belgian club.
The 50-year-old, who resigned as Nottingham Forest boss last month, could make a quick return to management in the Belgian Pro League.
"I heard the news [about McClaren] but there are many coaches being talked about," Verkempinck said.
"Brugge is a top team and we want really a winner, a leader, and [McClaren] is one on the list. We will see, I will keep doing my job and I hope a good coach will come."
The Belgian side sacked their boss Adrie Koster at the weekend.
