David Beckham's career is officially brought to an end after being left out of the PSG squad for Sunday's trip to Lorient in Ligue 1.

David Beckham has officially played his last competitive match after being left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad for Sunday's trip to Lorient in Ligue 1.

The 38-year-old confirmed on May 16 that this would be the final season of his professional career.

The former England captain cut an emotional figure when he was substituted during PSG's 3-1 win over Brest last weekend in what many considered would be his final appearance.

Beckham became the only Englishman to win the league title in four different countries when he lifted the Ligue 1 trophy with Les Parisiens this season.
