David Beckham "loving" life at Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain's January signing David Beckham says that he is "loving" playing for the club.

David Beckham has admitted that he has so far thoroughly enjoyed his stint with Paris Saint-Germain.

The former England captain signed on with the French club in January and in doing so agreed to donate his wages to a local charity.

His switch was met with initial concerns over his ability to compete in a major league at the age of 37, but Beckham has insisted that he has full belief in himself to be effective when called upon.

"I'm almost 38 so when I'm playing alongside 20-year-olds there is always a bit of doubt about my fitness. But after two minutes of training I played a pass and thought - 'I've still got it'," he told Sky Sports News.

"I said when I came here that this move was about football. A charity will be getting a seven-figure sum from this move and I want people to know how important football is to me. I'm playing for free and I'm loving it."

Beckham has not been included in the starting lineup for this evening's match against Valencia, which you can follow live commentary of courtesy of Sports Mole here.
