Paris Saint-Germain include summer signing Edison Cavani in their squad for tonight's Ligue 1 opener against Montpellier.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has included summer signing Edinson Cavani in his squad for tonight's Ligue 1 opener against Montpellier.

Cavani has not featured for PSG during pre-season after returning from Confederations Cup duty with a groin injury.

Despite fitness concerns the Uruguay forward is in line for a PSG debut tonight, after travelling with Blanc's squad to Montpellier last night.

The former Napoli striker finally joined his new teammates in full training on Tuesday, but is still not expected to start this evening at the Stade de la Mosson.

Blanc has decided not to risk his other major summer signing Marquinhos for the Ligue 1 opener, while Jeremy Menez also misses out with a back injury.
