Paris Saint-Germain reportedly decide against extending Angel Di Maria's contract, with the attacker now set to leave at the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly decided not to exercise the 12-month option in Angel Di Maria's contract, meaning that the attacker will leave the club this summer.

Di Maria has struggled to earn regular starts in the Parisiens frontline this term but still boasts three goals and five assists from 25 matches in all competitions.

The 34-year-old's existing deal at the Parc des Princes is due to expire at the end of the season, with Mauricio Pochettino's side possessing the option to trigger an extension until 2023.

However, RMC Sport - via Get French Football News - reports that PSG have decided against triggering the clause and will part ways with Di Maria in the summer transfer window.

PSG are already rumoured to have a verbal agreement in place with Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele to replace Di Maria, who prepares to leave after seven seasons in the French capital following his move from Manchester United in 2015.

Di Maria has scored 91 goals and set up 115 more in 289 matches for PSG, winning four Ligue 1 titles and four Coupe de France crowns during his time in Paris.
