Sunday's Eredivisie predictions including PSV Eindhoven vs. Sparta Rotterdam

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Eredivisie fixtures, including PSV Eindhoven vs. Sparta Rotterdam.

Requiring just one more point to wrap up the Dutch title, PSV Eindhoven will welcome Europe-chasing Sparta Rotterdam to Philips Stadion on Sunday afternoon for an Eredivisie clash.

Boeren have enjoyed a sensational campaign so far, losing just the single match as they close in on top-flight supremacy, whilst Sparta are targeting a return to the continental stage.

We say: PSV Eindhoven 3-0 Sparta Rotterdam

PSV have been nearly flawless at Philips Stadion this season, and we cannot formulate a convincing argument of why that would change on Sunday afternoon versus Sparta Rotterdam.

Boeren know that a point will be enough to clinch their first Eredivisie crown in six years, but we reckon that Bosz's men will go the extra mile to secure a comfortable win here.

Heracles vs. RKC Waalwijk (Sunday, 11.15am)

Heracles will be seeking to avoid a third consecutive defeat when they welcome RKC Waalwijk to the Erve Asito in round 32 of the 2023-24 Eredivisie season.

Waalwijk, meanwhile, head to Almelo this weekend aiming to end a six-game winless streak and exact revenge on their hosts for a 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture.

We say: Heracles 2-1 RKC Waalwijk

Waalwijk have been in good scoring form of late but their defensive porosity has often let them down in matches. We are expecting an entertaining clash once again with the hosts just about emerging victorious in the end.

Utrecht vs. Vitesse (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Two teams at opposite ends of the Eredivisie table will meet this Sunday as FC Utrecht will host the already-relegated Vitesse.

While the visitors are merely playing for personal pride at this point in the season, the hosts are still pushing to secure European football.

We say: FC Utrecht 2-1 Vitesse

Vitesse might have picked up three points during their most recent outing they will still head into this game as the underdogs due to the league positions of each team.

With Utrecht needing to pick up some more positive results to secure European football they have plenty to play for, and that could be the crucial difference here.

Volendam vs. Ajax (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Ajax make the trip to FC Volendam on Sunday afternoon looking for the win that would strengthen their hold of fifth position in the Eredivisie standings.

Meanwhile, the home side are aware that they realistically require all three points to remain in the hunt for 16th position, the relegation playoff spot.

We say: FC Volendam 1-3 Ajax

With Ajax continuing to falter, Volendam will be optimistic that they can earn a result against the Dutch giants. However, given that fifth spot will now lead to a guaranteed European spot, expect a more focused performance from the visitors.

AZ vs. FC Twente (Sunday, 3.45pm)

It will be a crucial match towards the top of the Eredivisie table this Sunday as AZ Alkmaar faces FC Twente, with both continuing to push for a third-place finish.

With five points between them and only three games remaining, it is a fixture that the hosts cannot afford to lose, increasing the pressure.

We say: AZ Alkmaar 1-2 FC Twente

AZ Alkmaar must win this match, but the fact that FC Twente can confirm a third-place finish with three points here will ensure that this is a tense match.

However, the overall form and consistency of the visitors throughout this season is likely going to be the difference maker here.

Feyenoord vs. PEC Zwolle (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Feyenoord play host to PEC Zwolle on Sunday evening knowing that they are realistically already guaranteed to finish in second place in the Eredivisie standings.

Meanwhile, having already ensured that they will not be relegated this season, PEC Zwolle travel to De Kuip able to play without any pressure.

We say: Feyenoord 3-0 PEC Zwolle

With PEC Zwolle mathematically safe, it remains to be seen whether that will benefit or hinder them. Nevertheless, we expect this game to be relatively one-sided, Feyenoord wanting to continue to put on a show before Slot's likely move to Liverpool.
