Chris Ramsey wants disciplined Queens Park Rangers

Chris Ramsey says that he is prepared to get tough with his Queens Park Rangers players as he bids to keep the club in the Premier League.

New Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has said that he will get tough with his players as he bids to keep the club in the Premier League.

The former academy coach has been given the manager's job until the end of the season following Harry Redknapp's resignation.

Ramsey led the Hoops to their first away win of the season at Sunderland last Tuesday, but the 52-year-old says that he wants to keep everyone grounded following that triumph.

"We haven't got the luxury of taking days off, there are things we have to work on. The players had some time off over the weekend but we are not in the position to be giving days off just because we have won a game," Ramsey told the London Evening Standard.

"Sunderland was a great victory but I didn't want them to over-celebrate because I think they're more than capable of doing that every week.

"I wasn't surprised that they did it. We were all happy that we beat Sunderland but I told the players that they're only reaching some of their potential because we have got the ability to go on."

QPR travel to Hull City on Saturday.
