Harry Redknapp: 'Queens Park Rangers deserved a point'

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp believes that a draw would have been a fair result following his team's 1-0 home defeat to Leicester City this afternoon.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has asserted that his side deserved at least a point in the 1-0 defeat to Leicester City this afternoon.

Redknapp's men saw their unbeaten record at Loftus Road ended this season, with Jamie Vardy's 41st-minute strike ultimately proving the difference between the teams.

The Londoners ended the contest with 10 men after Joey Barton was booked twice in quick succession toward the end of the contest.

Nevertheless, Redknapp insists that his team's performance over 90 minutes merited a point from the encounter.

Speaking to the club's official website, Redknapp said: "It's obviously disappointing to get beaten at home. I felt there were chances for us and there was very little in between the two teams.

"I thought a draw would have been a fair result. But they've put in a good away performance so full credit to them.

"It was just one of those days. We're not going to win every game at home."

Consequently the R's slip off top spot in the Championship table in favour of Burnley, who recorded a 2-1 victory over Blackpool.
