Bobby Zamora: 'Queens Park Rangers were naive against Liverpool'

Bobby Zamora admits that QPR's lack of experience cost them during Sunday's dramatic defeat to Liverpool.

Queens Park Rangers striker Bobby Zamora has admitted that his side's naivety cost them during Sunday's dramatic defeat to Liverpool.

The R's fought back twice in the final minutes at Loftus Road before an own goal from Steven Caulker deep in stoppage time saw the visitors earn a 3-2 win in the Premier League encounter.

Despite insisting that he and his teammates put in a good performance, Zamora believes that a lack of experience was to blame for the result.

"That was a real kick in the teeth for us," he told the club's official website. "I thought the performance from us, the work ethic, everything was there. It was just a bit of naivety on all three occasions for their goals.

"Certainly in the last minute we've got to think about getting bodies behind the ball. It's massively disappointing but, once again, at home you can't ask for anything more from us performance-wise."

Sunday's loss has seen QPR remain rooted to the bottom of the table on four points.
