Bobby Zamora says that he can't wait to kick-start his career with Queens Park Rangers after making the switch from Fulham yesterday.

Bobby Zamora has claimed that he is eager to become a part of Queens Park Rangers' fight to stay in the Premier League after leaving Fulham for Loftus Road yesterday.

The 31-year-old completed his switch to the former Championship side after signing a two-and-half-year deal for a reported £6m.

"QPR are certainly a club that are looking to go forward," Zamora told the club's official website. "That's something that I'm looking forward to being a part of. I got on really well with the manager at Fulham. We all grew to like Mark [Hughes]. I think that will be the case here. He's looking to take the club forward.

"I think this was the right time for me to have a fresh challenge. I had some great experiences at Fulham. Going to a European final is special. But this is a new challenge for myself and I'm thoroughly looking forward to it."

Zamora, who will wear the number 52 shirt at QPR, will have to wait for his Rangers debut as his is ineligible to feature for the club in tonight's Premier League fixture against Aston Villa.
