Stuart McCall wants Rangers job long-term

Stuart McCall confirms that he wants to be Rangers manager for the long term, despite only being offered a deal until the end of the season.

Stuart McCall has admitted that he wants to coach Rangers beyond the end of this season.

The 50-year-old was appointed manager of the Scottish Championship outfit until the summer.

The former Motherwell boss has replaced interim coach Kenny McDowall, who left the club this afternoon midway through serving his 12-month notice period.

In today's press conference, McCall confirmed that he would like to remain in charge of the Rangers team next season, but insisted that he is focused on earning promotion for the club.

The managerial change was made six days after Dave King and his consortium took control of Rangers after winning 85% of the vote from shareholders in last week's EGM.
