Team News: Steven Smith comes in for Rangers

Ally McCoist brings in Steven Smith to the Rangers side to face Alloa Athletic.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has made one change to the side to face Alloa Athletic this afternoon, with Steven Smith getting the nod in defence.

The 29-year-old replaces Lee Wallace at left-back.

Ian Black and Nicky Law will operate in the middle of the park, while David Templeton retains his spot on the right wing having impressed in his side's 4-0 win over Falkirk last week.

Winger Fraser Aird misses out with a thigh tear along with Marius Zaliukas, who is not fit enough to start despite returning to training this week.

Alloa defender Jason Marr, meanwhile, keeps his place after recently returning from a knee injury.

Rangers: Simonsen; Foster, McGregor, McCulloch, Smith; Templeton, Black, Law, Macleod; Boyd, Miller

Alloa Athletic: McDowall; Doyle, Gordon, Marr, Meggatt; Simmons, Tiffoney, McCord, Docherty; Cawley, Buchanan
