Asamoah Gyan closing in on move to Championship club Reading?

Reading are reportedly closing in on the loan signing of Shanghai SIPG striker Asamoah Gyan.

Shanghai SIPG forward Asamoah Gyan is reportedly on the brink of completing a move to Reading.

On Sunday, the Ghana international suggested that he was close to signing for an English side, with both Fulham and former team Sunderland said to be interested in his signature.

However, according to BBC Sport, the 30-year-old is undergoing a medical with the Royals ahead of a season-long loan switch.

During his previous spell in England, Gyan netted 11 goals in 37 games in all competitions at the Stadium of Light.
