Reading manager Brian McDermott has reportedly revealed that the club have lodged an offer for Blackpool winger Thomas Ince.
The former Championship outfit were thought to have submitted an £8m bid for the 20-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a return to Liverpool.
While the Reds were originally thought to be in the driving seat for Ince's signature, McDermott has revealed that Reading have entered the race before Thursday's deadline, according to Reading Post journalist Jonny Fordham.
Liverpool are reported to have had a number of bids turned down from the Seasiders as their offers have failed to meet the club's valuation of Ince.
