Real Madrid will be bidding to bounce back from successive defeats in the Champions League when they continue their 2024-25 campaign with a clash against Serie A outfit Atalanta BC on Tuesday night.
Los Blancos have only picked up six points from their five matches in this season's competition, losing three times in the process, including their last two against AC Milan and Liverpool.
Carlo Ancelotti's side are currently down in 24th spot in the Champions League table, with the reigning champions only just clinging to a playoff spot, while Atalanta sit up in fifth position.
Real Madrid will enter the match off the back of a 3-0 victory over Girona in La Liga, while Atalanta made it nine straight wins in all competitions with a 2-1 success over AC Milan in Serie A last time out.

These two sides have only met on three previous occasions, with their first two meetings coming in the last-16 stage of the 2020-21 Champions League, and Real Madrid ran out 4-1 winners on aggregate.
Los Blancos defender Ferland Mendy netted a late winner in the first leg in Italy, before Real Madrid recorded a 3-1 victory on home soil, with Karim Benzema, Sergio Ramos and Marco Asensio on the scoresheet.
Those two meetings are the only time that the pair have faced off in the European Cup, but they also met in the UEFA Super Cup in August 2024 due to Real Madrid's 2023-24 Champions League triumph and Atalanta's victory in the Europa League.
Ancelotti's side ran out 2-0 winners, with Federico Valverde and Kylian Mbappe on the scoresheet, so Real Madrid have won all three of their previous meetings with Atalanta, scoring six times to the Italian outfit's one.
