Real Madrid playmaker Kaka has called on the club to focus as they attempt to secure their first La Liga title since 2008.

Madrid can move eight points clear of Barcelona with victory over Villarreal on Wednesday, but Kaka has played down their point advantage.

"We have an advantage which means a lot and does not mean that much at the same time. We know that Barca are very strong and that they have great players, so we will have to be very alert until we have mathematically won the title," Kaka told AS.

Kaka, 29, has scored 22 goals in 86 games for the club.
