Gareth Bale has not begun fresh contract talks with Real Madrid, according to a report which quotes a representative of the Welshman.
The 26-year-old has scored 13 times in 17 games for Los Blancos this season and 52 in 109 appearances in total since joining the Spanish giants from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013.
Bale, who is currently the world's most expensive footballer, signed a six-year deal at the Bernabeu upon his arrival, but a recent report claimed that Real Madrid had opened fresh talks with the attacker over a two-year extension.
However, suggestions that contract talks have been opened are "rubbish", according to a report in The Mirror, which quotes one of Bale's representatives.
Manchester United are believed to have a long-standing interest in the Welsh international, whom they have tried to sign on a number of occasions.
