Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that "nothing has happened" with Eden Hazard, as the attacker continues to be linked with a move away from Bernabeu.
Newcastle United are allegedly keen to sign the Belgium international, but it is believed that he has turned down the chance to leave Bernabeu in the middle of the 2021-22 campaign.
Hazard has found it difficult to secure regular action under Ancelotti this term, with the 31-year-old down the pecking order for the starting roles out wide.
The Real Madrid boss has said that there is no issue with the former Chelsea attacker, as he is just simply behind other players in the squad due to his struggles for form.
"Nothing has happened [with Hazard]," Ancelotti told reporters. "The only [thing is] that there is competition in the team and I have to choose the best [players] in each game.
"This affects many players, I can't deny it. Nothing has happened, [Hazard] is training and waiting for the coach's call. I think he will be ready when he plays. At the moment he is still a Real Madrid player. He is training and he is focused. We have nothing else to think about."
Hazard, who still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract at Bernabeu, has made 16 appearances for Los Blancos this season, contributing zero goals and two assists.
