Report: Real Madrid open Marco Reus talks

A report claims that Real Madrid have opened talks with Borussia Dortmund over a move for Marco Reus.

Real Madrid have reportedly opened talks with Borussia Dortmund over a move for German international Marco Reus.

The 26-year-old has long been linked with a move away from Dortmund, with almost all of the biggest clubs in European football believed to be interested in his services.

Talk of a transfer this summer has been relatively quiet, but according to beiN Sports correspondent Tancredi Palmeri, Real Madrid have made contact with the German club.

Reus has struggled with a host of injuries over the last 12 months, but the attacker still struck 11 times in 29 games last season.

In total, the German has netted 53 goals in 119 games since joining Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2012.
