Toulouse continued their meteoric rise up the Ligue 1 table with a hard-earned 1-0 win over Rennes.
The first half was a fairly even contest, with very few clear chances created by either team.
It was an own-goal that eventually opened the scoring, when Romain Danze turned into his own net on the stroke of half time.
Rennes goalkeeper Benoit Costil made two saves just after the break, first from Etienne Didot and then from Emmanuel Riviere, to keep the hosts in with a shout.
Two chances in quick succession then fell to Jires Ekoko and Jean Kana Biyek, but neither player could produce an equaliser for Rennes.
Despite not seeing as much of the ball as their opponents, Toulouse managed to hold on and go fourth, level on points with Lille.
