Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane could miss next month's friendly with Serbia.
The 33-year-old is currently recovering from the surgery that he underwent on both of his Achilles in November.
Keane has yet to feature for Los Angeles Galaxy in pre-season, although coach Bruce Arena has said that he could be back in training in the 'next couple of weeks'.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Arena is not keen on his star striker making a long-haul flight to Dublin for a non-competitive fixture and could refuse to release the former Tottenham Hotspur man.
Keane is Ireland's all-time leading goalscorer, having found the net 62 times in 131 senior appearances for the Boys in Green.
