AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving the club on a Bosman transfer next summer.
However, the 28-year-old has revealed that he hopes to remain in Serie A "for five more years".
"Could I leave on a Bosman? It depends on the contract and if we reach an agreement," said De Rossi.
"I have never put pressure on Roma and I never will as that would affect my relationship with the club."
Talks between the player and Roma over a new contract are believed to be progressing and the Italian international has said that he would find it hard to move elsewhere right now.
"I want to play in Italy for five more years, then I would consider playing my football outside of the peninsula," he added.
"I'm attracted by the idea of playing abroad. I'm thinking of Japan, China, America, it would be a good life experience.
"Another Italian club? I can't imagine that because I have always played for Roma."
De Rossi's current deal at Stadio Olimpico expires next summer.
