Young Rotherham United defender Richard Brindley has joined League One side Scunthorpe United on loan until the New Year.
The 21-year-old, who has made just one start for Rotherham this season, will stay at Scunthorpe until Saturday, January 3.
Millers boss Steve Evans told the club website: "Richard is a young player that is very much part of the Steve Evans plan at Rotherham United, but by his own admission he now needs a run of games to allow him the opportunity to compete for a place.
"He joins a good manager in Mark Robins at a very ambitious club in Scunthorpe United and we will be tracking his progress closely through to the January period."
Brindley could make his Iron debut at Barnsley on Saturday.
