Saint-Etienne have consolidated fourth position in Ligue 1 with a 3-1 win over Sochaux.
Goals from Melvut Erding and Franck Tabanou sent the home side into a two-goal lead, before Edouard Butin registered for the visitors after 66 minutes.

Saint-Etienne were not finished, however, and made sure of the points late on when Erding completed his brace.
An untidy first period brought few chances for either side, with Saint-Etienne having to wait until the first minute of the second period to register through Erding.
Tabanou made it 2-0 six minutes later with an effort from close range, but Sochaux did find a route back into the match after 66 minutes through Butin.
Sochaux's challenge evaporated in the latter stages, though, when they lost forward Cedric Bakambu for two bookable offences, before Erding added his second for the home side late on.
