Valencia 1-2 Sevilla

Sevilla record their first away victory since November against Valencia.

Sevilla came from behind to defeat Valencia and claim their first away victory since November this evening.

The visitors fell behind in the 25th minute when Tino Costa fired in from the edge of the area, having collected possession from full-back Jordi Alba.

However, parity was restored 11 minutes later when Jesus Navas crossed for Gary Medel, who stooped to head in from close range.

The winning goal arrived 20 minutes from time for the away team. Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Freddie Kanoute crossed for Navas and the winger stabbed the ball into an empty net.

The victory has lifted Sevilla up to ninth in the La Liga table.
