Richard Chaplow is out of Southampton's crucial Championship match against Coventry City with a hamstring injury.

Southampton midfielder Richard Chaplow will be sidelined for the Saints' final Championship match against Coventry City due to a hamstring injury.

The South Coast club's boss Nigel Adkins has confirmed that the 27-year-old will miss Saturday's match after picking up the injury in Southampton's 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough at the weekend.

The news will come as a blow to the second-placed side, who are just two points clear of the playoff places.

West Ham United boosted their chances of automatic promotion after clinching a 2-1 victory over Leicester City last night.
