Southampton boss Ronald Koeman disappointed with West Ham United draw

Ronald Koeman admits that he was frustrated that his Southampton side could not beat 10-man West Ham United at St Mary's.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has admitted that he was left frustrated by his side's goalless draw with West Ham United at St Mary's.

The visitors were forced to play the final 30 minutes of the game with 10 men after goalkeeper Adrian was sent off for handling the ball outside of the penalty area.

Koeman says that he is disappointed that his players could not make the most of their numerical advantage.

"If you get the chance to play 25 minutes with 11 against 10 then you expect to win the game," he told Sky Sports News.

"But then I think you have to play more clever than we did in the last part of the game."

The result leaves Southampton fourth in the Premier League table, one point clear of Arsenal in fifth.
