Team News: Morgan Schneiderlin misses West Ham United clash through injury

Morgan Schneiderlin will miss Southampton's Premier League clash with West Ham United after failing to shake off an injury.

Southampton will be without Morgan Schneiderlin for their clash against West Ham United after failing to shrug off injury problems in the build-up to the game.

The Frenchman will be replaced by young midfielder Harrison Reed in Ronald Koeman's side.

Saints are also without the suspended Ryan Bertrand and the injured Matt Targett, but Florin Gardos steps into the back four.

New signing Filip Djuricic has received his work permit and is named among the substitutes for the hosts.

Meanwhile, West Ham have James Tomkins, despite the defender sustaining a broken nose during the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

Morgan Amalfitano is recalled to the midfield by manager Sam Allardyce, while Enner Valencia, Carlton Cole and Diafra Sakho are likely to make up a three-pronged attack for the Londoners.

Southampton: Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Gardos, Yoshida, Wanyama, Reed, S. Davis, Mane, Elia, Pelle

West Ham United: Adrian, Jenkinson, Tomkins, Kouyate, Cresswell, Song, Amafitano, Downing, Valencia, Sakho, Cole
