Sunday's Primeira Liga predictions including Sporting Lisbon vs. Famalicao

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Primeira Liga fixtures, including Sporting Lisbon vs. Famalicao.

Gil Vicente vs. Moreirense (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Gil Vicente will look to stretch their winning run to four games on Sunday, when they welcome Moreirense to the Parque Joaquim de Almeida Freitas.

An upturn in form has seen Os Gilistas move up to 10th spot in the Primeira Liga table and away from the threat of relegation, while the visitors will be looking to build on a positive result last time out, when they drew 1-1 with league leaders Sporting Lisbon.

We say: Gil Vicente 2-1 Moreirense

Gil Vicente have managed to hit a strong run of form at the perfect time, and they do not look like slipping up.

We see Soares's men recording a fourth consecutive victory on Sunday, as they look to all but confirm their survival thanks to that impressive upturn in form.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Santa Clara vs. Nacional (Sunday, 3.30pm)

Nacional will look to break a seven-game losing run on Sunday when they travel to the Estadio de Sao Miguel to take on Santa Clara.

That run has seen the visitors drop to 17th spot in the Primeira Liga table, level on points with basement side Maritimo, while the hosts will be looking to close the gap between themselves and sixth-placed Vitoria de Guimaraes.

We say: Santa Clara 2-0 Nacional

Given their current form, it is difficult to predict anything other than an eighth consecutive league defeat for Nacional on Sunday.

Santa Clara should have more than enough to break through a defence which has shipped 18 goals in the last seven games, and we see them returning to winning ways with a comfortable home victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Braga vs. Belenenses (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Braga will look to boost their chances of breaking into the top three of the Primeira Liga table on Sunday, when they welcome Belenenses to the Braga Municipal Stadium.

The hosts made an important return to winning ways against Farense last time out, while Belenenses suffered a disappointing defeat to strugglers Boavista.

We say: Braga 2-0 Belenenses

The hosts should simply have too much for Belenenses on Sunday, even considering the visitors' strong defensive record this season.

The weak attacking line of Petit's side will mean that Braga will dominate the ball in the Belenenses half for the majority of the game, and we expect them to find a way to break down the resilient back line of O Belem and pick up three crucial points.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Famalicao (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Sporting Lisbon will look to get back to winning ways and strengthen their position at the summit of the Primeira Liga table on Sunday, when they welcome Famalicao to the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

The league leaders were forced to share the points in a 1-1 draw with Moreirense last time out, although they remain eight points clear at the top of the league, while the visitors have helped their chances of survival with two consecutive victories.

We say: Sporting Lisbon 2-0 Famalicao

Moreirense's late equaliser will have shocked Sporting Lisbon, who looked to be marching towards the title without slipping up, and we see that triggering an instant reaction on Saturday, as the Lisbon outfit know they cannot afford to start dropping points regularly.

The visitors will be no pushovers and have shown major improvements in recent weeks, but we see them falling just short on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
