Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Fulham

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Fulham.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium serves up a London derby in Monday's Premier League offering, as the Lilywhites aim to prolong their unbeaten start to the top-flight campaign at home to Fulham.

Ange Postecoglou's side entered the second international break of the season sat atop the pile with 20 points from their opening eight fixtures, most recently overcoming Luton Town 1-0 away from home.

However, only a superior goals scored tally is keeping Spurs above Arsenal, while Manchester City and Liverpool could also leapfrog the Lilywhites before Monday's game rolls around.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown with the Cottagers, who occupy 12th spot in the table on the back of a 3-1 win over Sheffield United.

Cristian Romero

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 23 (vs. Fulham)

Cristian Romero only lasted 45 minutes of Argentina's recent World Cup qualifying win over Peru due to a blow to the ankle, but he is not believed to have sustained a serious problem and should be available for selection on Monday.

Brennan Johnson

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: October 23 (vs. Fulham)

Brennan Johnson did not turn out for Wales this month due to the hamstring injury that he picked up in the North London derby, but there is optimism that the attacker might force his way into contention for this one.

Ivan Perisic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Croatian winger Ivan Perisic is on the long road back from a severe ACL injury, and it remains to be seen if he will be able to play for Tottenham again before his contract expires in the summer.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Aston Villa)

Rodrigo Bentancur is much further along in his recovery from a serious knee issue and is working with the group again, but Postecoglou revealed earlier this month that the midfielder is still "well off" a first-team return.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Aston Villa)

Postecoglou also gave an identical prognosis on Ryan Sessegnon, who underwent hamstring surgery before the start of the season and is not expected back for at least another few weeks.

Manor Solomon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Adding to Tottenham's list of training injuries, Israeli winger Manor Solomon suffered knee damage during practice a couple of weeks ago and will spend a few months recuperating from an operation.

Alfie Whiteman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman went under the knife for an ankle concern at the start of August, and no timeframe has been placed on the Englishman's recovery.

Yves Bissouma

Return date: October 27 (vs. Crystal Palace)

In-form midfielder Yves Bissouma was sent off against Luton for two bookable offences, firstly for bringing down Chiedozie Ogbene before an inexcusable dive right in front of referee John Brooks. The Mali international would have already served a one-game ban for his first yellow card - which was his fifth of the season - and while that caution has been wiped, he will sit this one out owing to his needless second booking.
